I Wanna Rock
I just had one of the best experiences of my life because i went to the Hard Rock Hotel in Tampa Bay, Florida.
I’m in love with a casino. And I’m not even a gambler. What’s wrong with me?
I seem to be embodying the epitome of living vicariously. And it’s hard to justify, because realistically these places want to create the best experience for you so you spend more money. Smoking allowed? Check. The best music? Check. Free drinks? Check…please! Just take all my money and tell me I can live here. I’m an addict dying for a hit.
I was impressed by more than the Casino. The establishment is lavishly decorated. Simple yet ornate. Quite glamorous. Even the bathrooms! Smelled delicious. Perfect lighting. Look down, and there’s a beautiful carpet, Arabian nights styled…look up and there’s a chandelier, and possibly a disco ball. They spare no expense (because they’re taking all your money, or most of it).
Men with money and beautiful women: You can be your own king and queen of this castle.
You’ve got to try the food, if you can afford a hundred dollars on a buffet. You’ll be treated to steak and pasta and chicken wings, you can gorge on salad with the best ranch dressing yet, but please…save room for dessert! Pineapple upside down cake and lemon merengue pie, chocolate desserts and glitter cupcakes (I’m not kidding). Cmon! Fresh fruit and sushi, and if you have room for ice cream you might as well.
Thank god I’m not drinking.
But I am feeling lucky ;)
With a full belly you can head down to the slots and light up a smoke. Hell, you earned it. There is a machine with your name on it. Several, in fact. The techno remix is gonna get you going. I promise. But relax, theres a waitress to cater to your thirst. Coke, coffee, water…you’ll have to buy your own alcohol. If you’re not in heaven yet, you obviously don’t enjoy the finer things in life (or a caffeine buzz).
Why would I love a casino? A recovering alcoholics nightmare, as if I needed to add any more addictions to my plate.
Im just a sucker.
Hard Rock for life.
